The Chalmers Postdoc Network, with support from SACO, invites you to an information session with SACO-S union representatives, focusing on employment conditions and the role of unions for postdocs at Chalmers and in Sweden more broadly.

Many of us are new to Sweden and employed on short-term contracts. This can leave us in a vulnerable position, especially given the complexity of Swedish labor laws and the limited awareness of union support available. SACO-S represents the collective interests of academic staff at Chalmers and is uniquely positioned to provide guidance on these matters.

This session is a chance to:

• Learn about the rights and protections unions offer to postdocs
• Ask questions directly to a union representative
• Connect with others navigating similar challenges

Postdoc Union Contact Election

During the session, we will also hold an election to establish a postdoc union contact - a postdoc who is also a SACO member and will represent the postdoc community at union meetings. This is a key role in pushing for greater visibility and advocacy for postdoc rights at Chalmers.
